Worked as production technologist with technical authority responsibilities in Petroleum Development Oman from 2010 to 2020. During this period, I held technical and focal point roles in the areas of Well Integrity, Well and Reservoir Management, artificial lift optimisation, new technology testing and new well design.
Before moving to Oman, I spent 4 years working for Shell UK in Aberdeen as value realization production technologist for Non Operated Ventures and as value creation production technologist for operated ventures. Between 2001 to 2005, I worked for Shell Venezuela fields in Lake Maracaibo planning and executing of new wells and production optimization projects. I also held a technical consultant position in PDVSA Intevep between 1998 to 2001 for multiphase flow modelling and simulation using Integrated Production System Modelling tools both commercially available and internally developed.
I find that digitalization in the oil and gas industry enables the fast implementation of continuous improvement ideas in a sustainable manner to achieve production excellence levels consistently.
